The prompt · ChatGPT
Help me write a CV for a career change. My current or last career: [e.g. 10 years as a teacher] The career I want: [e.g. learning and development in a company] A job ad I like: [paste it, optional] What I've done towards it: [courses, projects, volunteering, side work] What I enjoyed most in my old work: [list] Ask me up to 3 short questions first if anything important is missing. Wait for my answers. Then: 1. A table: what I did in my old job, and how the new field would describe it. 2. A skills-first CV: profile aimed at the new career, 4 key skills with proof, then experience with the most relevant bullets first. 3. The 3 biggest gaps between me and the job ad, and one realistic way to close each. 4. A one-line answer to "why the change?" for applications. Only use what I've told you, leave blanks for anything I haven't given, and don't invent facts, dates or results. UK English. Stay in this ChatGPT chat. Do not turn on apps or connectors, and do not use memory from another chat.
