Use ChatGPT to ask for a referral after a finished job
Finished jobs you choose get one short referral note, sent only if you accept it.
Time: About half a day for the first run.
Difficulty: Easy
Tools: Mailchimp, ChatGPT
Happy clients are never asked, or they are asked with a long email that goes out too late.
Finished jobs you choose get one short referral note, sent only if you accept it.
A finished job, then a draft, then a held email.
Public outline. Setup, settings, and prompts are on the full specification.
Trigger · Mailchimp
You tag a contact as a finished job you would ask Nothing is sent yet.
Action · ChatGPT
A draft is made from the job name and the line you want them to pass on. A person reads it before it goes anywhere.
Check · Mailchimp
A person keeps the accepted text on the contact.
First setup: About half a day for the first run.
After it is running: The retyping of the same note each week, once the source stays tidy.
These are planning ranges, not a measurement of your business. They are not a promise of time saved, and they are not a quote for implementation.
Industries: Trades and field services, Professional services. Updated 16 Oct 2026. The full specification exports as Markdown for an AI agent, and also as PDF and JSON.
